Fleur De Dance specializes in private instruction for wedding dances. All of our lessons have two instructors, not just one. With both a lead and follow instructor you have the opportunity to see both parts put together and receive specific instruction for each part. This makes preparing for your special dance much easier.

Plus, our unique teaching style focuses on getting you naturally and comfortably dancing together and ready for your wedding in as little as 3 lessons!

Additional Information:

ADDITIONAL PRIVATE LESSONS • After completing your included lessons in any package, we can provide additional private lessons at our regular rate of $160 per hour to add additional patterns and refine your dance skills if you’d like. You can also choose to purchase an additional package if you need more than one. It’s all up to you.
VIDEO RECAPS • At the end of each lesson we will recap the content we covered.
MUSIC EDITING PACKAGES • Most wedding dances should be no longer than 2 to 2 1/2 minutes in length. Most songs need to be cut and spliced to sound as if they begin and end perfectly to this time range. Some songs need to be sped up or slowed down to be comfortable for dancing. Other situations need multiple songs to be combined into a medley. Our professional music editing service will prepare your song for your special day.

“Lead/Follow” vs Dance Routines

Option 1: Lead/Follow dancing
Lead/Follow dancing is making choices in real time using learned dance patterns to create spontaneous and organic dance performances. Lead/Follow dancing takes much less time due to the amount of material that has to be learned. Normally around 3-5 hours will do fine. Then, if you want more material or want to fine-tune your dancing, you can add a few more lessons. This, in no way, takes away from having special moments in the dance connected to the music. You simply lead/follow freely up to the point in the music where something specifically happens. Then, after that moment, you lead/follow again.

Option 2: Routines
Dance routines are completely choreographed performances specifically designed to your wedding song. Routines typically take a “minimum” of 7-15 hours for a 2 1/2 minute song in order to have success. Necessary lessons certainly can go beyond that depending on the dancer’s experience and the routine’s complexity.

The choice is completely yours. You can decide what works best for your vision, budget, and time
